FAQ

Q:

Is this a drop-off program?

A:

Yes and no. :)
For our Bright Beginnings and Bright Minds programs (K4-6th grades) it is NOT a drop off program. A parent or responsible adult must be on campus for the entire day.

For our Bright Leaders programs (7th-12th grades) it is a drop off program, in that parents are not required to stay with their students, but we encourage parents to stay on property and be involved as often as possible.

Q:

How many days a week does this co-op meet?

A:

Saltlight meets one day a week for academic classes. We have a second, optional elective day as well. (Specific day of the week will not be finalized until our location is finalized, hopefully in the coming weeks)

Q:

Do you accept the Unique Abilities and/or PEP scholarships?

A:

Yes! Saltlight Homeschool is an approved provider with the Step Up for Students organization. Parents are able to submit payments directly through their student's scholarship account.

Q:

Does every parent have to teach?

A:

Parents are required to be involved in some capacity, but are not expected to teach. Lower school parents must be on campus and will be expected to help as room moms, hall monitors, set up/clean up crew, etc. Upper school parents will be expected to coordinate field trips, class hang outs, pizza days, etc.
